Thing 12 ~~~~Rolling My Own~~~~~~~~

Not too impressed with this one either. Maybe if i had regular reference questions that would lend itself to this, i might see a use.....

I tried to create a Rollyo for Baltimore events & restuarants and it didnt work. Those webpages that are nationwide brought up results for other cities & those specific to Maryland obviously did not get searched. For instance, there are tons of wine festivals going on this month, but a search on "wine" gave no results. A search on a restuarnt name produced no results.

I also tried to use the Rollyo's given to us as an example, the one for free images & didnt find it helpful at all. So it's not just mine! Anyway - here is mine http://rollyo.com/index.html

These experiences & the fact that the result page is full of ads means that I am not too interested in pursuing this. As a librarian I know how to
1. search to get the results i need &
2. quickly look at results & see which may be of use.
